At O’Meara Counseling, your privacy and the integrity of your care are our highest priorities. For this reason, I do not accept health insurance.

Many clients are unaware that using health insurance requires a formal, permanent mental health diagnosis in your medical record. Insurance companies also reserve the right to review your confidential therapy notes and audit your sessions to determine what they will cover. Furthermore, if your health plan is tied to your workplace, this information can inadvertently become accessible within employer-sponsored benefit systems. By operating exclusively on a private-pay basis, I eliminate third-party oversight.

To maintain total anonymity, I take private-pay billing that is unconnected to any workplace HSA or FSA accounts.

• Individual Counseling & Supervision: Payments are conveniently handled using Ivy Pay, a secure, HIPAA-compliant card-on-file payment app designed specifically for healthcare practices. Payment via check is also accepted and due at the time of service.

• Institutional Consultation & Workshops: Invoicing is provided for corporate, medical, and educational clients. Payment can be remitted via check.
